Initiatives Link to Business Growth
There is a direct link between our Mission of a dynamic prosperous county — meaning attracting and retaining new business — and our other four strategic initiatives:
- Quality of Life
- Excellence in Education
- Fully Competitive Internet Access
- Available Housing
Three Avenues to Business Growth
Striving to achieve CORPORATE RELOCATION is the most obvious objective aimed at substantial growth in the relatively short-term. Our Economic Development Division will continue to find avenues to promote the advantages of business relocation, presenting our blend of non-metro benefits and the strength of Randolph County United as a competitive alternative.
A second avenue is BUSINESS START-UPS. Start-ups will be a natural by-product of success in creating a more economically dynamic county, including efforts to assist our individual cities and towns in their growth efforts. Start-ups can also be fostered by helping entrepreneurs understand the new power represented by full internet access as a means of competing regionally, nationally or globally. Small internet start-ups can be encouraged by providing the necessary technology infrastructure and opportunities for the collaborative relationships that today’s entrepreneurs seek.
The third avenue to overall business growth is improved SUCCESS FOR EXISTING BUSINESSES. RCU’s Chamber of Commerce Division will provide continuing programs and promotions to assist in marketing and operational success.
